“Most professional Summer booked the big hall of Chateau Amboise at the Foundation, arranged with the guards and there I celebrated my 60th birthday with 100 people coming from France, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary. We had a five course meal, served by the caterer Summer helped us choosing, joined us for the pre – tasting, also to choose the wines. It was a wonderful evening and the son of a former French President even was astonished, how that could be arranged in that setting. Next morning the brunch took place in the Hotel Choiseul, in its garden and in the great hall of the restaurant – all arranged by Summer. I just showed up and it was perfect; Champagne for ever in the Loire Valley ! I forgot to mention, that Summer also arranged all the hotel bookings, found charming Bed and Breakfasts and made all the guests happy with their accommodations.”

Her fun, bubbly personality, extensive knowledge of the Loire Valley, and attention to every detail made my one day visit of the Loire Valley a highlight of my recent trip to France. In just a few texts, Summer arranged a day trip for us from Paris to Loire Valley, picked us up at the train station, and off we went to the lovely Château de L’Aulée, where we enjoyed a wine tasting with Nathalie; then a visit to Château Azay-le-Rideau; and finally, a rare private tour of Château de Villandry with owner Henri Carvallo giving us an extensive private tour of his family-owned castle, where we were fortunate to see rooms furnished with his great grandparents’ original furnishings and not always open to the public. Af the end of a very fun-filled day, Summer drove us back to the train for our return to Paris. Eagerly anticipating a longer stay in the Loire Valley in the future, with Summer of course, and visiting more amazing castles and vineyards!
